Porsche always has a soft spot for car lights, and the four-point shape Porsche headlights are highly recognizable, which can be regarded as a model of the perfect combination of industrial design and electrical engineering.Recently, Porsche has launched a new headlight technology, which has brought the car lights to a new level again. It's called the Porsche HD matrix LED headlight, and at its core is a single chip with more than 16,000 individually controllable tiny LEDs about the size of a thumbnail. And, each headlight uses two, that is, four chips per vehicle. Each of these features the same LED array and integrated LED driver to produce unprecedented high-resolution light flux in an area of just 12.8mm x 3.2mm.At the same time, the brightness of more than 16,000 individual light-emitting diodes in each LED array can be controlled. Each lens has specially ground optical glass, making up two high-definition modules. The Porsche dynamic light system's external HD Matrix module wide-angle lens covers an angle of 40 degrees wide x 10 degrees high, while the internal HD Matrix module with telephoto lens refracts light at 20 degrees by 5 degrees.Compared with the previous top-level Porsche matrix headlights, the brightness can be increased by 2 times. In the case of high beams, the lights can reach 160lx or 300lx illuminance, and can illuminate up to 600 meters, turning night into day.
