Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe recalled due to loss of steering control

Stellantis (Shanghai) Automobile Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the "Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products" and the "Implementation Measures for the Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products". Decided to recall some imported new Grand Cherokee 4xe vehicles from now on, a total of 19 vehicles.

Recall batch:
A total of 11 imported brand new Grand Cherokee 4xe Peak Edition cars produced between February 15, 2023 and April 3, 2023.
A total of 8 imported brand new Grand Cherokee 4xe Yuanfeng vehicles produced during the period from February 8, 2023 to April 3, 2023.

Reason for recall:
For some vehicles within the scope of this recall, due to manufacturing reasons, the steering column may be assembled incorrectly. In extreme cases, the intermediate shaft of the steering column may be disengaged from the universal joint, causing the vehicle to lose steering control, posing a safety hazard.

Solution:
Stellantis (Shanghai) Automobile Co., Ltd. will inspect the steering column intermediate shaft and assembly components for the recalled vehicles free of charge, and replace them if necessary to eliminate potential safety hazards.
